According to the data of Central Bank there were 697.2 million in India as of july among which Over 3.2 Million Debit Cards all over India are going to be replaced or the security code will be changed due to the fears of potential breaks.
Of the Debit Cards affected, 2.6 million are from master cards and visa platforns, where as 600,000 are from RuPay platform.
The most exceedingly bad hit of the card-issuing banks are State Bank of India, ICICI bank, HDFC Bank, Yes Bank, Axis Bank.
No.1 Banker state Bank Of India said in an announcement, “SBI has taken precautionary measures and have blocked cards of certain customers identified by the networks… existing card holders are not at any risk and can continue to use their cards.”
